I'm a friendly, relaxed and easy-going guy. I love exploring the outdoors by hiking, mountain climbing, kayaking, bike riding and paddle boarding and am always keen to meet like-minded people. I'm very interested in travelling especially through wilderness areas, national parks and beaches as well as towns and cities of all sizes.

I like spending time with my friends and family as well as watching sport, reading and listening to music. I'm a curious person and am always looking to learn more and embrace new experiences and challenges. I'm passionate about conservation and would like to work in conservation one day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd love to stay with and hang out with hosts and fellow travellers that are passionate about their community! I'd like to meet locals and find out more about the area in which they live. Getting some local advice and tips about where to go and what to do will make the travel experience so much more enjoyable. Going on adventures with people who know the environment and have similar interests will also be lots of fun. I'd also like to share my own experiences and stories with hosts which would be mutually beneficial. I'm travelling through Alaska and the west of Canada and the US from late July through to at least October so I'd love to meet and stay with some people in these areas.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love psychedelic rock and pop such as Tame Impala. I also like electronic, pop, funk, folk, indie and alternative music. Some of my other favourite bands are Flight of the Conchords, Bibio, Calvin Harris, Coldplay, Daft Punk, Imagine Dragons, Kurt Vile, Mac DeMarco and The Paper Kites.

I like action, fantasy and comedy movies. I like the Lord of the Rings and Matrix trilogies, Into the Wild, The Shawshank Redemption and Avatar.

I enjoy fantasy books such as the Harry Potter, Narnia and Inheritance series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked the Torres Del Paine 'O' circuit in Chile, Patagonia with two friends. It was a whole week of hiking over 100km through some amazing mountainous scenery, forests and river regions. The weather was very volatile, some moments sunny and the next very windy with strong rain. The toughest part was hiking over a steep pass through snow and blizzard-like conditions, struggling to make out the route and fighting the ferocious wind. We made it over but at one point near the top we were blown over and had to sit there for a moment building up some strength for the final push and looking at each other thinking how ridiculous it was. It was very memorable and one that I would recommend to anyone seeking a challenge in some wild and rugged country.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My previous travel experiences and recommendations. I'm always willing to help out with cooking, cleaning and other necessities. I'd love to explore the locality with my hosts especially the natural areas. I'd always welcome hosts to stay at my place in Sydney and would take them to the beach or out hiking in the surrounding Parks.
