I am a graduate student, who wants to explore foreign countries in a gap year. Since I studied Interculturality, Languages and Management, I want to experience what I heard about in academics and take the opportunity to see the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Throughout my studies, I lived in four different cities spread over three countries. On my way, I have found how unique connections can be created with people who live thousands of miles away from your house.

The encounters with these special people are engraved in my brain and it is my priviledge to return the favour to them any time I can.

Therefor, it is only natural to finally use couchsurfing, which I have basically been doing for years already.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Folk, Alternative Rock, Hip Hop and Metal. I play four instruments at this point (Bass, Guitar, Harmonika and Banjo) and am always excited for a jam session.

I must admit that I do have bigger blind spots, especially when it comes to classic movies. However, I love action and comedy films such as Pirates of the Carribean, Mission Impossible or Comic adaptations. Pretty much any movie that makes you feel better and not worse afterwards is welcome to me.

In terms of books, I am a passionate reader ever since young age and am even trying myself as a writer these days. Among the best things I have ever read I must name the following: Sherlock Holmes, Game of Thrones, The Name of the Wind and Hiding the Elephant.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to see two friends from Hawaii again a few years ago. Ever since we met for the first time, they had gotten married and moved to a lovely new home.

We had only spent a few weeks in summer together, but never lost touch and wrote many letters to keep us up to date. So when we finally met again, it was marvelous to experience that it felt like we had seen each other just yesterday.

It was the instant flow and chemistry you feel with your best friends and it felt like everything just fell into place. To this day, I keep in touch with them and am happy our paths crossed and will cross again.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a variety of interests and am always open for a chat. My big fields of interests have always been Sport and Music, but I feel that there is something in literally every conversation.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a very open-minded person and have bonded with people from many different countries already.

I have mastered three academic degrees in five years, four cities and three countries and am in love with Interculturality. I play four different instruments, am a passionate writer and am enthusiastic for sports.

I believe that you have something in common with everyone and that two minds are always smarter than one no matter what.
