About Me

After a lifetime full of abject craziness,for the most part just laying low and enjoying a comparatively more chill lifestyle. I consult in the entertainment industry, and have three of my own podcasts. My professional life has included owning successful Professional Wrestling & Mixed Martial Arts companies, working as an executive for Walt Disney, producing movies and TV, promoting big-name concerts, and a lot more. I've survived two prolonged battles with life-threatening illnesses and have survived a few near-death incidents as well. I've traveled to over 50 countries and love new people, places and experiences. I appreciate life, and I love life, (almost all) people, and ALL dogs!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a beautiful home in the San Fernando Valley. It's a great place for hanging and for socializing (including outdoor sofas and fireplace, hot tub, etc. I have lots of friends, both here in town and all over the world , but... I've ALWAYS loved meeting and getting to know new people, and these days... as I'm spending most of my time at home with my pups, inviting couch-surfers over seems life a cool way to meet new cool peeps.

Interests

I fought in Japan, Brazil and Thailand and at a massive 5'4", 140 lbs., headlined some pretty big pro wrestling shows against some real monsters, but these days, I can only watch (which I love to do). The same goes for big wave surfing (giving the spine a rest; love to watch still though). My biggest passion these days --and I expect to the end of my days-- is the pit bull rescue run with my pal Linda Blair (yep, from "The Excorcist"). And oh yeah, although fitness is a must, I still love a good glass of wine. Or two.

Music, Movies, and Books

Like most people...I have HUNDREDS --if not thousands-- of favorites. Here's just a few...

Books: Shantaram, Endurance, Of Mice and Men, Love in the Time of Cholera, A Million Little Pieces;

Movies: Strictly Ballroom, Mute Witness, Dead Calm, Moulin Rouge, Rocky

Music: Bob Marley, The Ramones, Queen, The Rolling Stones, Sasahmon

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Got out of jail in Mexico by threatening the town's officials that I could single-handed-ly destroy their entire tourism trade. Is that "amazing?" I don't know. But it somehow seemed necessary at the time. And it worked.

Maybe solo-backpacking/hiking Catalina Island is a better thing to mention?

Teach, Learn, Share

I have 5 of the most beautiful, loving pit bulls ever, who love everybody. I can teach you all about this breed, and other dogs. Or I can not say a thing, and you can just make new best friends with them.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bahamas, Brazil, British Indian Ocean Territory, Cameroon, Canada, Cayman Islands, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, England, Estonia, Ethiopia, Finland, Ghana, Guyana, Haiti, India, Indonesia, Israel, Jamaica, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Uganda
