About Me

I am a 43 year old, married father of 4 ( three of which have grown) who loves the outdoors. If I am not hiking or caving you can find me cycling or kayaking or meandaring.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently rekindled my love affair with the bicycle and my hiking shoes and hope to be able to tour the world on the cheap and meet some interesting people along the way!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kinds of music and have played guitar in local cover bar bands in the past.I really enjoy classic rock but like some latin guitar, instrumental, rave, rap as long is the message is good.I can get into petty much any music that has a good feel to it, Some of my favorite books of the past have been The Prophet, Harry Potter, and A walk in the Woods" by Bill Bryson. I love travel writers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I bicycled from Pittsburg Pennsylvania to Washington DC carrying everything I needed including my tent. It was about 350 miles total.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach about the sport of caving, hiking, can play some guitar and can share stories HVAC,

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can entertain you with stories of my adventures on the bicycle or hiking and caving. I can also strum a guitar if you have one ( though I don't sing so you'll have to provide the vocals). I can make a mean steak and love converation.
