CURRENT MISSION To give when I can, and trust others when I am in need. ABOUT ME I'm a 26 year old trans guy living in Brooklyn, NY with my wonderful girlfriend, a small cat, and a rotating third roommate. I currently do nonprofit work without a paycheck, but hoping that will change soon! PHILOSOPHY If not now, then when? If not us, then who?

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I have a super comfortable couch, and an awesome air mattress, and I love meeting new people and hearing their stories. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I couchsurfed with friends when I first moved to NYC, and I count that experience as really shaping my outlook on friendship and humanity. I was very much in need, and my friends and the universe looked out for me in unexpected ways. I also couchsurfed my way across the Southeastern US with no transportation of my own last fall. What an adventure!

One Amazing Thing I've Done
Traveling across the country to colleges and universities that have policies and practices that make it difficult or impossible to be openly LGBT, and speaking with students and administration, as well as members of the communities.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've done workshops in various contexts on: the philosophy of nonviolence, the transgender experience, what the Christian Scripture actually says about the LGBTQ experience and what it means, social justice and the Bible, progressive theology, and grassroots organizing. I'm always learning. Teach me what you have to offer!
