It's important not to be strong but to feel strong.

In this age of the internet, I HATE watching videos on youtube of places I am traveling. Feels as if all excitement and magic is taken away when you see things secondhand.

I loved reading books, voila! I realised every human is an open book , why not meet and learn about them? PEOPLE! They are the most important part of a journey traveling is great only if we meet different people with diverse opinions!

Why be restricted to only a few books when this world has so much more to offer?
I love listening to other people's experiences and life story.. so

Super curious towards life and all it has to offer! ( This is who I want to be)
Always trying to take the path untaken and explore! ( This is who I want to be)
Reality - Trying hard to make my startup around plastic recycling. We recycle fishnets from the oceans to the chocolate wrappers and we do a lot of it.. something like 100 tonnes/ day. That's a lot of it,

Startup is like having a child, it takes a lot of your time!

Personality?
I really enjoy exploring local cultures and people as I travel. I try to be as sustainable as possible, and therefore I avoid animal products, alcohol, drugs, tobacco, I am fine if my hosts do, However, I would like to avoid indulging in same.

I also tend to buy as much as possible of local produce for consumption or as gifts and avoid soul sucking corporations.
I like to talk and learn about country's culture, history and ask a lot of why, how, but , if?

Work?
I want to help this world what whatever I can so I started a small company to recycle plastic. Its small at the moment but I want to make this really big and ensure our ecosystem is free of plastic.

Over few years, our company has grown and we recycle over 10 truck sized plastic/ day.
Before that I worked for World bank, Harvard University, AIESEC.
As a guest?
I will do my best to keep my needs minimum and usually accommodate fairly well as you can read from references.
However, I usually try to take my hosts for dinner or get some gifts only because there is some cost involved even in hosting and as a respect for trusting and hosting me.

As a host?
You are guaranteed a personal room, wifi, towels and sheets and food.
I have more than I need and all my guests are assured proper care and accommodation.
I might probably take you out and meet my friends or show around but that totally depends on both of us and our schedule.

I typically read a book per week and have some really close people from CS!
Furthermore, I want to continue making friends all over the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is the best way to travel in my opinion because I am not that person who likes to see buildings and museums and statues, I like meeting different people listen to their Stories, connect and have meaningful relationships and CS is the way!

I can share my experience of working with AIESEC and travelling to India Bhutan USA a little bit :)
