I have just started using CS at the beginning of the year- a lot of you have been where I am now, starting up. I’m trying to meet the amazing community of CS, and build a profile that is reflective of who I am.

I love travelling - one of my recent experience was in Cairo. I sat and wrote while watching the Umm Al-Dunya (mother of the world) rush by.

Art museums are a thing for me - I loved the one Contemporary Art museum in Athens, it was hosting artists from across the world. The visit made me reflect on identity and belonging in today’s world.

Love reading too, I always try and seek out bookshops in every city I go. I found one in Barcelona that is just off La Ramblas, bought too many books so had to stuff them in my pockets at the airport.

Food is always on my mind, I had the best pistachio pizza in Palermo which I can’t forget. I got fig ice cream in Malaga that I think about on a daily basis.

History also interests me - Harlem in NYC took me back to the historic race relations of America. Visiting Malcolm X’s mosque was pretty powerful to be with the community of Harlem.

Poetry is also something I try and immerse myself in. It’s difficult to do at times, but I am trying to be as open as I can. I am currently ready Mahmoud Darwish, especially with how the current situation in Palestine is.
