CURRENT MISSION My mission is to continue my love for travel by hosting travelers and hearing their stories. I lived in Italy during the l970's and traveled the Medeterranian to over 20 countries. I love Italy and the Italian language . ABOUT ME I am a very active 65 year old male. My wife and I live in a rather rural part of North Western Wisconsin about 13 miles outside a small town of 2,000 people. We Have three grown children who have all moved on. We live here in Wisconsin during the summers and just outside Orlando Florida during the winters. It is on a beautiful lake in North West Wisconsin. We are very active in our church. If you come to visit us you must have your own transportation because there is absolutly no public transportation in this area. If you were to visit us during the winter near Orlando Florida you will also need your own transportation. PHILOSOPHY My phylosophy is to live my life with the highest degree of integrity and to honour my Lord Jesus Christ in all that I do. My life is a life of service to others and my goal is to help others to know and love Jesus also.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I tell as many people as I can about CS. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE My wife and I stayed a few days with a wonderful lady outside of Rome, Italy in 2013. It was a marvelous experience. I plan to be traveling in Italy again during August and September 2019. Since 2002 I have spent a month in Italy 8 times.

One Amazing Thing I've Done
I have traveled to 28 countries of the world. I have traveled around the Philippine Islands, lived 7 yeas in Hawaii on the Big Island, traveled to of all the fifty states and to most of the Canadian Provinces. I spent four years traveling the Mediterranean Sea from Lisbon Portugal to Istanbul Turkey ( paid for by the US Navy. I have skied the world's tallest Mountain ( that is Mauna Kea in Hawaii) Measured from the bottom of the ocean it is taller than Mt. Everest. I have climbed down into the vent hole of extinct volcanoes in Hawaii and pulled molten lava from an active flow. I have gazed into the smoldering caldera of Vesuvius and hiked on the slopes of Mt. Etna in Sicily. Gibraltar, Lisbon Portugal, Barcelona, Casablanca,Malta, Alexandria, Cairo, Mykinos, Lindos, Athens, Istunbul, Split, Venice, and lots of other ports in between.

Wow, how do I begin. I am a natural teacher, and love to share about how to fix things. I am mr fix it. I Love to teach skiing too, although age and back problems have cut that out of late.
