ABOUT ME
Ro Keane - I'm about to turn 30, from the UK and currently travelling in New Zealand with my partner (also using this profile). I've previously used CS on my own and found it was a great tool to meet locals which don't tend to hangout at backpacker hostels for some reason ;-)
I like travelling, cooking and lots of lazy days. I've found a new love for Yoga/Pilates, but really haven't had a chance to do any since I left home.
Steve - Travelling for the first time, introduced to CouchSurfing by my partner, Ro. Love the idea of being introduced to a place by a local and not just seeing all the regular tourist stuff.
I'm a big geek and love Sci-fi, computer games and martial arts.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Being a couch-surfer. And by meeting people living in the areas we're visiting.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Ro - First time I CouchSurfed (actually staying with someone) I instantly made a friend and felt like I was at home. This was a great first impression and I would definitely try to do the same thing if I had the opportunity.
Steve - First time CouchSurfing was with Ro as a last minute thing. Accommodation plans fell through and we managed to find someone through a forum the same day. Great community.
Interests
Ro - I like chilling out at the beach (in the shade), yoga, cooking and enjoying good food, cups of tea, playing computer games and board games, talking about random shit and hearing about other people's experiences, learning about other cultures.... not too sure what else to say....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ro - I'm easily awestruck, so I'm sure lots of people wont see the same as me, but I did:
Feed a wild dolphin at Monkey Mia (Western Australia).
Para glide over Zurich.
Held a baby kangaroo on my 2nd day in Australia
Teach, Learn, Share
Ro - I love to cook and would be more than happy share this... no promising the results are always good though :-) I'd like to learn more about the place I'm in with insights from those that know it well.
Steve - I can teach people what to look for in the night's sky .... trying to figure out what I've got to teach.
