About Me

Hi my name is Rob, I am 22 years old and am currently studying International Business Management.
I have tons of hobby's however the most important ones for me are traveling and meeting new people, maintaining my car (from 1972) and enjoying nature.

People that know me describe me as a social, easy-going, calm (and sometimes stubborn) person.
I normally don't smoke and drink but on very special occasions, I do like a cigar and a small whiskey :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling and meeting new people! A few years ago I decided to book a flight to London and go on an adventure by myself, I experienced how cool (and scary) it might be to do things out of your comfort zone. Therefore, since I discovered Couchsurfing I thought this would be one of those opportunities that I should take.

Right now, I am in Kelowna for 1 semester and want to travel around in Canada during my stay, this is also one of the reasons that I am on Couchsurfing to find hosts and meet new people from the area :)

Interests

  • traveling
  • urbex
  • old cars

Music, Movies, and Books

I like old western music, christian gospel music, and music from the 80's.
Besides this, I took some piano lessons and try to teach myself a few songs, it's a shame that piano's doesn't fit in my backpack :(

My favourite movies are the one ones with the WW2 genre, like band of brothers or fury. I also really like the good old classics Disney movies like the Lion King. I have recently been to the Lion King musicle in London and that was awesome!

Unforutnately I am not a passionat reader :( I don't really read books except the ones for my education :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some amazing things that I have done are:
Buying my first car was amazing, but instead of a new one, I bought a car from 1972 without any knowledge about cars. Believe me, I learned a lot since I made that decision..

The second amazing thing that I did is choosing for my study (international business management), this gave me the opportunity to go abroad and live 1 semester in London and (now) 1 semester in Kelowna!

Teach, Learn, Share

What do you want to know? You can ask me anything! I can't assure you an answer though..

I can teach you some Dutch and tell you something about the Dutch culture if you like, I can (try )teaching you something about old cars, share you my journeys.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, if you dare, you can let me make some pancakes for you.
I am, unfortunately, a terrible cook.. However, I love to make pancakes and especially eat hem.
