Welcome to the HEART of England. COVENTRY. Available for usually 2 or 3 nights. (Longer by negotiation and my personal availability.) I have two daughters, one of whom lives and works in Shanghai, living with her French boyfriend. My younger daughter and son in law have two young daughters, living in Warwickshire.

I am a Lincolnshire Yellowbelly, by birth. Was "sent to Coventry" during my career as a Logistics manager and never left. (Look up the references of Yellowbelly and sent to Coventry, on Mr Google if you are not familiar with them - I shall be asking questions!)

COVENTRY is home to both Coventry University and the University of Warwick. I live 2 miles from Coventry campus and 7 miles from Warwick campus. Also home to the Sky Blues - Coventry City football club. The Arena is just 2 miles away, and is walkable along a canal path, for anyone attending a concert there, or even going to a match!

The "sewer scene" from the Italian Job was filmed just 2 miles away from my home! Who said Coventry was not famous? lol.

I am retired and live alone. I have visited all but 5 countries in Europe, as well as Canada and the USA and North Africa. 2019's adventure was a month in China. Ask me about donkey foot and the Great Wall:-) In 2024 I notched up my 50th country visited - Slovenia.

I enjoy family history research and am now back as far as the 17th century. (before Scotland and England were united.) Recently discovered a professional football player from the 1890's who played for Scotland and still holds the top scoring player for his club - East Stirlingshire - today, 125 years later!! 3 English cousins were all sportsmen in Nottinghamshire and have a street named after them in Nottingham. Also 4 brothers who helped build the Summer Palace for Catherine, Empress of Russia, in St Petersburg, one of whom is my 4 x Great Grandfather. I am sure there are other gems just waiting for me to discover.

I am not a great sports fan, but I follow keenly the football team of my home town - Lincoln City - come on the IMP's!

I go to the Theatre on a regular basis and prefer a live performance rather than film. It is much more intimate and enjoyable.

I like to hike in the countryside, but that has taken a back seat in recent years. I must start to do that again.

This is a fantastic way of meeting new people from around the World. I have now met people from the U.K, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Romania, Italy, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Greece, Malaysia, Australia, Ireland, Germany, Austria and Kazakhstan. Every single person has been truly amazing, both male and female from the age of 18 years to over 60. Everyone is welcome. I prefer guests to stop around 2 or 3 nights. Arrangements can be made for longer stays, by agreement.

Coventry is the very heart of England. (Warwickshire is probably the furthest from the coast as you can get in the UK.) I am single and live in a one bedroom flat with a large sofa bed in the living room! We are just a stones throw away from Birmingham, Leicester, Stratford upon Avon, (Shakespeare's birth place) Warwick, Royal Leamington Spa and the Cotswolds. I would be happy to help you plan your stay in my beautiful country.

Not much into books or films to be honest. I do however enjoy current affairs and politics. Also a good thriller on T.V. I enjoy all sorts of music. I went to one of the last concerts of Queen before Freddy Mercury died. I like to attend folk festivals in the summer and have recently attended 2 concerts by Andre Rieu and his Orchestra.

I have had so many amazing experiences. The Northern lights. Camping in Iceland. Banff and Jasper national parks. Yellowstone national park. My most recent amazing thing was trekking along part of the Great Wall of China, which was undergoing repair. What an fantastic site to behold. We live in a wonderful World. Let's preserve it for our Children and Grandchildren.

The most amazing people in my life right now are my 2 beautiful Grand daughters.
