I am a 40 year old single male Deadhead. I have never been married, although I have spent time settling down. These past few years, I have simplified my life. I own a small home, my family, consists of me, my dog, and my cat. I have a flexible job situation that allows me time off in the summer. This is the first summer that I am taking advantage of the time off. I just want one last careless summer, it's been so long since I have had one, and I hope to spend this one having new experiences, and making new friends.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I am a Deadhead traveling solo to the opposite side of the country for one last round of shows with The Grateful Dead. I don't have too much time to spend on vacation while I am out there. I figure by hooking up with some like minded locals, hopefully people who are also planning to attend the shows in Santa Clara, I can get a little taste of what is going on while I am out there. Plus, it would be nice too establish an east - west coast connection, as I would be happy to return the favor to anyone looking to make it to the Philadelphia area for a run of shows in the future for whatever the event may be.
Music, Movies, and Books
Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, Rush, Yes, Allman Brothers Band, Santana, Steve Miller Band, Widespread Panic, Black Crowes, Lynard Skynard, Boston, Styx, Genesis, AC/DC to name some big ones on my concert resume. Woodstock 94, Bonnaroo, Peach Fest, Lockn' are some of the bigger festivals on my resume. As far as books and movies, I am the typical Stephen King and Star Wars kind of nerd, although I don't think I could ever sit down through another Star Wars (episode 1-6) again, this years new Star Wars will most likely be the only time I actually go to a movie theater this year.
My Interests
I am a lover of live music first and foremost. Either I am at a bar checking out a local band, at some larger scale concert event, or festival. Otherwise, I work for a living, usually saving up for my next adventure.
