About Me

Hi! I’m Roberta and I’m currently exploring the world.

I studied Neuroscience and after graduating I worked in addiction research for a little over a year before deciding that I wanted something new and different. So I decided to travel.

I spent some time in Central America (my first backpacking experience), then Europe, Indonesia and now I’m headed to Australia!

I have found that I enjoy being on the road, experiencing different cultures, food, and perspectives. Most of all I find joy from connecting with other humans.

I feel very fortunate that I get to experience the world through travel - the experiences, adventure, friendships, and sharing of kindness have brought me so much joy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To get a glimpse into the lives of others, share experiences, make friends from around the world, and create new experiences.

I recently created my Couchsurfing profile so I only have a couple of references (and one of them randomly disappeared) but I promise I’m a respectful surfer and you won’t regret hosting me.

Because I’m currently on the road I haven’t hosted anyone yet but when I have a place of my own I will definitely host others to try and give back some of the immeasurable kindness I have received.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all types of music, but especially classic rock.
I don’t watch many movies but I love to read, mostly fiction. I’ve read so many good books but Pillars of the Earth stands out as a favorite of mine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Got my black belt in karate.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make vegetarian and vegan dishes.
I want to learn about your culture, your worldview, your life stories, and any tips about your city/country.
I can share my company, my stories, and a vegetarian meal if you’d like. Im very clean and will keep things tidy. I’m happy to help out with other things as well, just let me know.
