I recently moved back to Florida with my cat and my dog after living in New Jersey for many years. The kids grew up, so it was all about getting back to my roots. And warmer weather!!
I have traveled a lot throughout my life, as my father is retired Navy, and road trips were always a part of my childhood, as well as something I have raised my children to love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would love to continue impromptu road trips, but I am not rich, by any means. I never hesitate to spend money on a good meal or a fun adventure, but an expensive hotel doesn't have to be part of the plan. It is simply a place to sleep at night. Camping can be every bit as fun as the Ritz Carlton. (Of course, I wouldn't turn down a stay at the Taj Mahal either!!) My daughter has been couchsurfing for many years, and even hosted couchsurfers in MY home on more than one occasion, as I lived on the Jersey Shore. Getting to meet new friends is always something I look forward to

Music, Movies, and Books

I can listen to pretty much any kind of music. I adore the oldies, whether it be Frank Sinatra or Buddy Holly. I like top 40, and even added country to my repertoire, as I moved back south. Reggae is awesome. Not too much into Jazz or hip hop. Not a deadhead or a huge Beatles fan.

I enjoy many types of books, but tire of the endless Danielle Steele novels. Not into fantasy, or futuristic. I HATED shades of Gray. That had to be the worst writing I have ever seen. If he ran his hand through his hair one more time as Anastasia bit her lip, I thought I was going to gag. It was on every other page!!

Not a big movie fan, but I like the popcorn :) I prefer doing something more active than watching a movie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I finished my college degree while raising 3 children. Not that a French major has served me well as an adult, but I completed it just the same.

I am not artsy, but I am creative. I love to plan parties with a theme, and pay attention to every detail.

I love to cook, and appreciated good food and wine. Burgers and beer do well together just as nice!
