ABOUT ME

Robin: I am what I am, I havent always been, I was poser for a while but it got boring. I wander, bare foot when I can, and wait for life to reveal more of its spectacular secrets. What marvels it contains.

Diana Pepix: Mas de un año fuera del país donde viví durante 24 años ha duplicado mi afición por observar lo que no soy ni lo que es mi entorno. Me gustan mucho las imágenes,sobre todo las que han sido creadas para expresar alguna idea. Los colores me motivan a escapar de la monotonía.

PHILOSOPHY

OPEN YOUR GOD DAMN EYES...seriously. Not the reader specifically but everyone...the world. If we just took the blinkers off we could see so much more and make better decisions. Education is probably the key. If we could realise that a better world is possible together...oh i dont know. I guess that would be it really. I dont know...anything (cheating here really...stealing from Socrates)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well I travel, often sleeping on couches and the community is a godsend in terms of information and advice. We also have a room, with a bed, where people can in turn, rest their weary travel stained feet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We spent a few nights with a most generous fellow in Paris. Thanks Merwan. We had a great time and you were a splendid host. If your ever wandering the streets of Mexico our couch is yours. We have also now had our first hosting experience...a kind couple of the world. German and Colombian I believe but he, and perhaps she have been everywhere. Truly of the world. It was a great experience. A delightful couple from Israel on an amazing trip through the Americas, not to mention a variety of contacts and events on the way

since then there has been people on floors, fascinating tours of Queretaro and random encounters in the night. So far couch surfing has definitely changed our world...

impromptu rooftop party where we got all the furniture of the house and put it on the roof while our guests, who camped there, played music and reveled...

A delightfully energetic youth from France who explored the peninsula with us via bike and a student of snow and the world it seems who showed us the wonders of hot springs and old growth forests

Intereses

Robin: I love to learn and open up reality. Sitting with a cup of tea and watching the kids as they play is definitely a priority for me.

Pepix: Leer sobre desarrollo sustentable y sobre Diseño web, construir "algo" con empaques que se van a la basura, me gusta escribir sobre todo cuando no estoy pensando si lo estoy haciendo bien o mal sólo lo hago, Caminar es otro de mis pasatiempos, hay tanto que pensar en esos momentos. Jugar con las imagenes en photoshop.

Música, películas y libros

Peter Pan, Labyrinth, Donnie Darko and any action with more explosions than plot (great for relaxing). Music...rather eclectic..a little bit of everything except pop and gangster rap..though I love the hill top hoods. Books. Grew up on fantasy novels and then into philosophy later...terry pratchet is a stand out.

Películas: El Color púrpura, amelie, kill bill 1 y 2, es que me gustan muchas...La vida es bella, Millionaire..y sigue la lista.
Libros: "La insoportable levedad del ser" - el más significativo.
Música: Rock en español (por influencia de mis hermanos y gente conocida) y hasta la fecha es la música que más disfruto.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I love to learn about foods, different combinations of flavours etc. As for teaching. Well I dont think I can teach much...Ive dabbled in a vast array of things but am master of none...Always love learning together though and will happily add what I know to whatever it can be used for. I would like to add that I am teaching english...though I am in no way an expert yet.
