hey! i'm an american/english/canadian based in Berlin.

I am primarily a violinist and improviser, playing swing and gipsy music from various european traditions, but have many other interests as well.

i'm interested in religion, politics, music, philosophy. i like to go jogging, biking, walking, and play music with people.

i perform with the flamenco band Konjaleo, and the Balkan music band Django Lassi.

i have Toured Europe with various musicians, and love discovering new languages and cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

i have no experience couchsurfing, since i usually make connections through musicians i meet.

but i like that couchsurfing allows people to connect in any way they choose, as opposed to say, airbnb.

I saw the northern lights in the north of finland in janauary.

and I performed with Pupi y Los qui Son Son in the Casa de La Musica in Havana, Cuba.

i think my take on life is fairly unique. i'm a strange combination of radical and conservative. I am very moved by anything that transcends or cuts through the hegemonic capitalistic mode of human interaction.
