About Me

First thing: as my name is very long and difficult you can call me Sangi, everyone calls me with this nickname ;)

I am a PhD student of Chemical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano and I play some musical instruments like guitar (electric and acoustic), keyboards and ukulele.

My parents are from Morocco, so I'm fluent in moroccan Arabic (yes, it's quite different from the "standard" one).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used couchsurfing something like 80 times, both hosting and surfing. I met so many different people and everyone somehow taught me something special. However it's impossible to be the right person for every host or for every guest, people have different tastes and priorities. The most important thing is to be CLEAR, if there's something you don't agree with or you think it's wrong during my stay (or yours) just tell me, let me know. I am a free and open minded person, I will discuss everything and tell you what I think.

I'm a hitchhiker, I always travel in this way when I can and I love it. More than 200 cars, 8500 km already done, 10 000 km coming soon... the best lift is always the next one!

1) Sunset in Stockholm
2) Almost lost all my documents and cell phone while hitchhiking on a highway in France.
5) Got lost in a mountain in Bulgaria alone,in the middle of the night, without any light, 5°C ,with 3% of charge in my cell phone while I was looking for a CSer...eventually found him ;)
6) Walked for more than 30 minutes at 50°C in July in Dubai, with no shade and no water.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you something about music (guitar, keyboards or musical theory), or to cook a wonderful pasta or something about Bergamo and its people. I always travel with max 7/8 kg in my bag (even for weeks!) and I can teach you how to save money in your trips...And maybe a little arabic too ;)
