French student travelling around the world ready to meet new people!

Hi guys, my name is Ronan and after more than 40 countries visited, I realised I was not meeting enough people from the country I was staying in during my voyages. I take my chance and come here to receive new perspectives while having experiences abroad.

To sum up: I am a French student in political sciences currently living in Canada (by the time I am writing that, I am going to Canberra for an exchange).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Few reasons motivated me to be on Couchsurfing:
First, the opportunity to meet locals and/or friendly people while I am abroad. It is a superbe cultural chance for me, and I would be very lucky if I was meeting abroad friends I would certainly welcome wherever I am.
Second, I would love to see more than usual touristic places to explore/learn from the experience of locals about their own cities! Who is better than you to tell me where to go while I am in your tow?
Third, share. I am a very friendly guy and I love to count my adventures around the world.
Last but not least, travelling is an expensive hobby, and I have to be frank that saving few hundred bucks helps me a lot. Thanks to Couchsurfing I can stay longer in your country, visit more places, enjoy better moments. I am perfectly able to do washing, cook food, help by any manner in order to show you how grateful I would be! Merci beaucoup! :D

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite Music? I am a big fan of classical music, especially Opera. Nonetheless, from Rock to Irish music, going through techno or reggae, it mostly depend of my mood!
Movies: Biopics/based on true stories movies. Love Wes Anderson, Coppola or Scorsese.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ate Vegemite (if you have been in Australia, you might understand the struggle).

Actually I served as volunteer in South Africa as lawyer assistant and we frequently went to youth prisons (from 15 to 20 y/o, approx our age) in order to provide them free judiciary assistance. Nonetheless, the prison (near Cape Town) and my volunteer program organized some events we, volunteers, and the prisoners could actually spend together playing and discussing. That was terrifying and extremely fun in the same time!
