About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Provide good travel karma to fellow travelers.

ABOUT ME
Outdoorsy type, but also enjoy the comforts of home.

PHILOSOPHY
I've always loved BandBs when traveling and have entertained the idea of my own one day. Travelers simply have instant connections with each other - it's special in that strangers can become instant friends so far from home. Opening your world and trust to another is a wonderful experience, both in the giving and receiving.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Happy to host travelers and find hosts on my journeys.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When traveling through WY on a 6-week road trip, a friend of a friend kindly let me car camp in his side yard and make use of the kitchen and bathroom.
On an overnight stop in Boulder, a friend of a friend hosted us for the evening in their wonderful setting.
The list goes on - always warm and welcoming hearts, always willing to pay it forward.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music playing often in the house.
Good selection of books, fiction and non-fiction (I read regularly).
Movie fan. Not a TV / broadcast fan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One?: climbed Ama Dablam, independent team.
Nature on a grand scale often leaves me awestruck: the Grand Canyon, Yosemite Valley, and just about anywhere in Alaska to name a few. The stars viewed from a remote location such as Death Valley have captured me for hours. Canadian Rockies always amaze.

Teach, Learn, Share

Happy to talk about achieving financial independence, goals and plans for achieving them, books, music, and ideas on how to solve any challenge you have.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a guest, I can share (bring) wine, sweets, whatever you enjoy. Also travel stories, ideas, planning and experiences.
As a host, I have: fully equipped kitchen, cozy deck in quite, treed back yard, gazebo, fire pit. Full bar.
