PHILOSOPHY
I've always loved the Bed and Breakfast experience when traveling and have entertained the idea of my own one day. Travelers simply have instant connections with each other - it's special in that strangers can become instant friends so far from home. Opening your world and trust to another is a wonderful experience, both in the giving and receiving.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When traveling through WY on a 6-week road trip, a friend of a friend kindly let me car camp in his side yard and make use of the kitchen and bathroom.
On an overnight stop in Boulder, a friend of a friend hosted us for the evening in their wonderful setting.
The list goes on - always warm and welcoming hearts, always willing to pay it forward.

We can go to the gym together, play tennis, hike, trail bike ride, etc., if I'm available with time during your visit.

One!? I climbed Ama Dablam (mountain in the Himalayas), independent team.
Nature on a grand scale often leaves me awestruck: the Grand Canyon, Yosemite Valley, and just about anywhere in Alaska to name a few. The stars viewed from a remote location such as Death Valley have captured me for hours. Canadian Rockies always amaze.

Happy to chat about goals and plans for achieving them, books, music, movies, technology, fitness, travel, ideas, or anything. Depending upon timing, may have a lot of time to share with you or be on the run. Have plenty of knowledge and experience on personal finance management / financial independence and happy to talk, advise, and discuss your goals or any questions. Rum lover with lots of insights to share.
I'm not into sports entertainment (most are in Pittsburgh), so won't be joining any games.

As a guest, I can share (bring) wine, sweets, whatever you enjoy. Also let trade travel stories, ideas, planning and experiences.
As a host, I have: fully equipped kitchen, cozy deck in quiet, back yard with trees, gazebo and a fire pit. Bicycle available for use (bike trail near the house that gets you to downtown Pittsburgh).

Important Notes:
Airport is 30-40 minutes away requiring either bus (1 connection, $5.50) or taxi/rideshare ($45-50) to get to the house.
House is 10 minutes from downtown by car, 20 minutes by bike, 15 minutes by bus.
Washer/dryer available.
