Overview
About Me
I'm a little bit reserved at first, but once you get to know me you'll realize I'm a very nice guy. I'm friendly and polite. My friends say I'm quite smart. I love good conversations -especially if they are accompanied by good coffee or good beers- We can talk about pretty much everything: from physics to computers to philosophy. I consider there is always something new to be learned. I'm good at remembering general concepts and ideas but I'm kinda bad at remembering details. I also prefer hanging out in small groups rather than in large ones.
PHILOSOPHY
...But if you vanish the dragon, you vanish the hero.
We love what we love. Reason does not enter into it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here because I'm traveling to Melbourne, Australia in February to study a Masters in Information Systems and I'd like to make friends with some locals before I get there.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hosted this guy who eventually became one of my best friends. He stayed in my house for a couple of days in 2013, then in 2014 he hosted me back in his house in Los Angeles. We didn't meet through couchsurfing, though.
Interests
I have a passion for reading. As soon as I finish a book, I start the next one. I'm also interested in history and culture. When I visit a place I try to learn about it. I also love traveling. I have visited countless cities and small towns in my country, but I've also been to Bogota, Armenia (in Colombia), Dallas and Los Angeles (in USA). That list is not so impressive right now but I'm working on it! I also enjoy meeeting people with different cultural backgrounds and having great conversations.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love fantasy books. This is my "top 5" (they are not in any particular order, though): "The name of the wind", "A wise man's fear", "Cien años de soledad", "Wuthering heights" (I know that last one is a romantic story but come on! such an infatuation on someone sounds fantasy-like!) and Paradise Lost (sidenote: I don't claim to understand every single word on that poem and I'm not denying it can be boring REALLY boring in some parts but the truth is that book greatly changed the vision I had of the English language and, thanks to the correct person, took my level of English out of the stagnation point it had reached)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think the most amazing thing I've done is working for more than 3 years with blind people, teaching them how to use a computer with the aid of a screen reading software.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am fluent in both Spanish and English. I also know a big deal about the history and culture of my country, so I think if you are interested in learning some Spanish or hanging out with someone who appreciates his roots and and is familiar with Ecuadorian culture, then we should definitely hang out some time.
Countries I’ve Visited
