Présentation
À propos de moi
I grew up in the small town of Griffith, NSW Australia and upgraded to the exciting metropolis of Canberra for university at 19.
After graduating and a few years working in learning and development for the federal public service, I'm currently enacting a grand plan of backpacking for several months from Iran to Europe, blowing all my savings in this worthwhile endeavor.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I haven't really used Couchsurfing since creating my profile years ago, but I love the concept of cultural exchange and reciprocity, and hope to start using it more!
Centres d'intérêt
History, travel, hiking, new experiences.
Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Everything, but I have a weak spot for horror movies (Get Out), anime (Attack on Titan), and dystopian fiction (1984).
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
One "amazing" thing I can really look back and laugh about - "losing" my passport in Turkey, forcing me to fly to Ankara to organise a replacement. Then, since I was still travelling, organising the passport's postage to a Turkish border town near Syria, providing the embassy with a supposed post office address I found using the at-the-time dodgy Google Translate. After the onset of torrential rain, coupled with severe sickness, I eventually located my passport, which was posted to a telecommunications provider in the border town.
Then, just before leaving Turkey, I found my "lost" and cancelled passport in a hidden compartment of my bag.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I love learning about the local culture and language in each country I'm in, I'm more than happy to answer any questions about Australia as well.
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
Perhaps I'll have a jar of Australia's (in)famous Vegemite to share. Besides that, good chats over beverages.
