Overview
About Me
Hey, everybody! I am a 24 years old journalist who has just finished her master in Arab and Islamic Studies and expects to become a (MENA) correspondant one day. Meanwhile, I live (survive) in the capital of Spain, where I moved to a year ago from Murcia (south-east) in order to get a higher and more specialized level of education which can provide me the tools that I need to reach my professional goals.
My special link to the Arab world became stronger when I got a schoolarship to spend 7 (wonderful) months to study in Fes, Morocco. This experience has changed my life and helped me become a more open-minded person. Since then, travelling has become one of my favorite hobbies, even though I had to stop for more than a year due to lack of money and time. Now I hope to be back on track and share interests with people who are up to share them with me, of course.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Now I am living in a super tiny appartment and it's not possible to host anybody at home because of the lack of space. But we can meet for having a coffee, a beer, a walk or showing you the city that hosts me.
All the experiences I've had have been pretty good, people are amazingly surprising.
(I want to apologize for my delay on updating my profile for more than a year. I haven't had enough time to log in Couchsurfing)
Interests
I'm naturally curious, so I love doing any activity that can satisfy this kind of need (attending exhibitions, conferences, going to concerts, to the cinema...). Apart from that, it's more than obvious that I love travelling too! I also love photography (never took any lesson but I learnt by myself and I think I do it ok!). Trying gastronomy from all over the world is one of my favorites things to do as well, same as spending good time having interesting conversations (beer in hand!) with people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Let's say that my music taste is quite diverse, I normally listen to Billie Holiday, Wanda Jackson, Nirvana, Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohen , 30's/ 40's jazz, Mashrou' Leila, Nabyla Maan, Umm Kalthoum, Fayrouz, Foo Fighters, Rozalén, etc...
Books: every kind of book that is related to Journalism, but I must admit that I am in love with everything that has to do with Kapuscinki's books. I also tend to read literature writen by Arabs (or non Arabs, but Iranians, Afghans) authors. I love South American literature too, like Cortázar or Gabriel García Márquez.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spending 7 months of my life in North Africa might have been one of the most mazing things that I have done, but it definitely isn't going to be THE MOST amazing one.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, we can share many different ideas and points of view. But what I would love the most is that someone teaches me more about photography. That would be a great chance to improve this skill! I can also help you with your Spanish, if you're willing to learn it :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Perspectives of life, recipes from your country and interesting conversations. Also I can show you nice places to visit. I am a culture and politics lover and I am opened to learn many different new things.
