ABOUT ME
I treat my whole life as an Art. The same way I treat others. I love to write, to draw, to dance, and to sing. I recently started to learn and fell in love with cooking and baking. I practiced Yoga and Zen meditation for years. Well, I learned and practiced Yoga since I was in high school. Later on, my Swedish friend introduced Zen meditation to me when I traveled to China, at the age of 18. I even have a Buddhist Ven./ Zen Master as my teacher/ master/ consultant. Since I get involved in a meditation center very much in Taiwan, I have quite a few volunteer experiences. My friends usually describe me as easy going, positive, warm and friendly. As majoring in Counseling Psychology, people think I am wise, clever, and calm. However, instead of viewing these as the benefits from counseling or psychological training, I personally think that Zen meditation practices let me discover something deeper about myself. Especially, the spiritual learning and practicing help me to know more about the ideas of fear and desire.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
The idea of couchsurfing is fantastic. So I signed up for the program when I fist knew the website. However, I didn't get involved in the group when I was in Taiwan. Last year on August, I finally thought of the website after coming to the United States. My journey of couchsurfing just started.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I stayed at my American friend's house before moving into my apartment. That was my first experience of being a surfer. Ah, I mean stayed in not-so-familiar person's house. From then on, since I was more involved in the community (my roommate's friends), I visited and stayed a night with new friends, talking about our experiences and ideas together.
