About Me

Ciao! My name is Rosaria, but everybody calls me Sara. I come from Messina, Sicily, but three years ago I moved in the north of Italy for my master degree. I'm a language learner and I study languages for communication in business and international organizations. I would like to teach Italian abroad (and why not, to Italians too, sometimes they need it :P). In general I would like to do something in life that lets me be helpful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm searching for new friends all over the world, someone whom share coffees, walks, stories with. I'm here because I love travelling, and above all solidarity principle. This mix fits perfectly with what I was searching for.

Interests

I love nature, visiting new places and discovering people. I love speaking foreign languages. I'm interested in latin dances and spirituality matters, and I easily get into others' passions. Next year I would like to be a volunteer in South America.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to every kind of music, from thrash metal (Sodom is my favourite band) to ambient, from spiritual music (for instance Gregorian chants) to folk punk (like The Zen Circus), from Brasilian forró to Italian singers-songwriters (Max Gazzè is my favourite singer). I read some esoteric and new-age book. I like TV series (at present I'm following 221163).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in Erasmus in Tampere, Finland, I travelled to Lapland and Norway. I had the occasion to stroke and feed raindeers, go sledding dragged by huskies, meet Saami people (indigenous people of the area), swim in the Arctic Ocean, see the Northern lights.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not a chef but I like to prepare many different vegetarian dishes. I like to dance (especially zumba and forró) and share walks and city excursions.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a new graduated and I'm still searching for a permanent accomodation.

Countries I’ve Visited
