ABOUT ME

Hi everyone!!!

Just recently came back from working abroad in Singapore for 6 months. Also got to explore beautiful South-east Asia.
I have grown up in Canada my whole life. I've mainly lived in Richmond Hill, Ontario (about 40 min away from Toronto). I love to explore and learn about different cultures. I love Toronto because it is so mult-cultural and has so many varieties of amazing food. When I'm home my mini-way of travelling to another country is going to an ethnic restuarant in the city. I'm proud to live in such a beautiful and wonderful country. Believe me Canadians are the friendliest.
I love to travel and live to travel!

One of my favourite travel experiences is when I backpacked across Japan. It is an absolutely incredible country.

I've also lived in France for 6 months and backpacked around Europe in 2008. Last year I had the opportunity to do some more travelling in NYC and Cuba with my favourite travel buddy, XM. I also lived in Chicoutimi, Quebec one summer(a cute small town) for the French language program, while travelling to nearby cities on the weekend with friends! I'm an avid learner with the French language.

I think meeting locals is the best way to dive into a culture, since they can give you a glimpse of the real life, and not what just a tourist sees.

I coachsurfed in Europe and loved it! I love how you get to meet friendly/interesting new people and you are better able to immerse yourself into the local culture.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I know I live in the outskirts of Toronto and so its not the number one tourist spot, but I promise I will try my best to show you both the downtown and suburb life of Toronto/Greater Toronto Area. I can give you tips on some great restaurants, cafes, and sight seeing places in the the Toronto city. Come discover Canada, its not as cold as you think - Its extreamly hot in the summer. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed for the first time in June 2008 in Europe! I loved the unique experience you get from couch surfing and discovering the local culture. Its great hearing/sharing stories from different parts of the world!

Interests

I love learning about different cultures and their history. I love food and tasting new things. Recently I graduated from Business - majoring in marketing. In the summer time I usually head up North from Toronto, and go to a cottage or camp out. I also enjoy watching movies with popcorn!! I enjoy going to Starbucks for a tall cafe americano with light whipped, as I read through a book I'm working on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Onsen baths in Japan (both the mud and the sand bathing). Such a cool experience. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to gain new experiences from travelling. Learning about different backgrounds, heritage and culture. And sharing people mine. I love to listen to new perspectives and look outside from different windows.
