ABOUT ME

I am from the small mountain town of Pinedale in western Wyoming, the population just over 2000 people. I grew up in the great outdoors, and developed a love and understanding of nature. When I left Wyoming to study music at Michigan State University, I found a new home, in the blue collar, former Oldsmobile factory town of Lansing, Michigan. In many ways the town and its people are very different from the mountain west however, and most importantly, I was still surounded by great people. Understanding that in every niche of the world, wonderful people are there, ready and willing to be kind - this has been my greatest education of all. And I seek now to take this young, though growing understanding of mankind, and nurture it with my love for music and my love for Nature.

PHILOSOPHY

I feel that each person has unlimited potential, and I look forward to learning and sharing in that potential. I appreciate all honest forms of expression. I believe in humanity. The world has much to learn, but we are fully capable and I know that I must work hard to do my part. And I thank all the wonderful people in the world who have brought and continue to bring beauty in the world.

I have been incredibly fortunate to meet such great people through CouchSurfing. Many have inspired me to host travelers with the utmost openness and trust that they have shown me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I believe that hosting a couch surfer is simultaneously a reach back toward the old school, country style of helping out someone in need, as well as pushing forward, carving out a new future so that "the earth is but one country, and mankind its citizens."
