ABOUT ME

My family moved to France when I was about 12 years old.
After a full career in business, I chose to take early retirement, anticipating a new chapter in my life as I pursue new interests as well as broaden my travel experiences.

PHILOSOPHY

Every day is a gift. I want to live so that when I go to bed at night, I can sleep in peace with no regrets.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Before joining CouchSurfing, I "surfed" a number of countries around the world, staying with families I met through other friends or acquaintances. When I learned about CS, it seemed like a natural fit for me, since I had been doing it on my own for about 30 years.

Interests

I love to travel and meet people in their everyday life, learning about their lives, interests, and the many things we all seem to have in common. I like to walk, to read, to listen to folk music and to play in the ocean.

I find that when I show an interest in sharing someone's life: eat their food, live and help with their daily routine, sleep in their home on bed, couch or mat on the floor, and listen to their hopes and dreams, I have found a new friend.
