I am fun loving, but serious person who relishes in intelligent discourse about ideas and life. I believe in tolerance and equal rights for all and enjoy meeting new people whose philosophies might encourage me to stretch and grow my own.

I live on a small ranchette in California that is shared by a horse, goats, chickens, rabbits and of course cats and dogs. I work online & spend a lot of time on the computer. I love the lifestyle of working from home. I'm a great cook and most of the food I eat is grown or sourced locally.

If you are thinking of staying here, keep in mind that my home is shared my 3 dogs and 7 cats who go inside/outside. I do have a weekly housekeeper but there are occasional puddles, hair balls or other souvenirs from living with multiple critters. I find the lessons learned from them more than outweigh this inconvenience. The guest rooms is critter free. If you are a neatnik this may bother you.

I enjoy reading, hikes with the dogs, yoga, gardening and have recently begun to play bridge, which I really enjoy. Living near Yosemite national park has been a wonderful source of joy. I am hard working, dependable and also enjoy a good opportunity to relax and enjoy our local hot tub. True to my German heritage, I am direct and people know where I stand as i do not beat around the bush.

I'm a huge fan of Barbara Kingsolver books and wait until her next one is released gobbling it up. I also love Michael Ondatje, Ishiguro, and other novels - I read the New Yorker Magazine weekly and also am a fan of non fiction and current events
