I'm a furniture design student currently based in Copenhagen, with my home university located in western New York State. I'm creative, great with my hands, and constantly searching to learn about new things.

I love meeting new people. Contrary to my mother's advice: talking to strangers is one of my favorite activities. There is always something to learn from others, be it something about the world, society, culture, or yourself. I hope to gather as much knowledge, understanding, and experience as I can by seeing new places and greeting new faces.

兴趣

I have a fascination with plants, invertebrates, and small shiny objects lying in the street. I enjoy drinking water, stretching in the morning, and making all sorts of things with my hands. I draw, cook, bake, write, and build furniture. Languages have struck my interest in the last two years, so I'm studying to be as multi-lingual as I possibly can.

I listen to a lot of ambient indie music in my downtime: Iron & Wine, The National, Deportees, The Antlers. I've been known to have a drink or two and dance my heart out to electronic music and remixes of hit 90s and 2000s pop songs as well.

Movies don't quite grasp my attention. I find it difficult to sit still for so long, when there are many other activities I could be doing. I just can't sit in front of a screen for two hours, unless the movie is used as a social gathering among friends.
The work of fiction that has had the greatest impact on my point of view is Lois Lowry's "The Giver," which gave me a fear of dystopia and a desire to stand out from the run-of-the-mill population.
Pema Chodron's "Comfortable with Uncertainty" has deeply impacted my life and my way of thinking. It taught me mindfulness, consideration for others, and helped me find some inner peace as tumultuous times in my life.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I lived in Alaska for a summer, working as a tour guide. I've kayaked with sea lions and icebergs, hiked atop glaciers, and explored natural ice tunnels within them. That was a pivotal point of my life when my love of travel and adventure was awakened.

Laughs, drinks, a fresh perspective. I view the world with constant wonder, and I like to share that novel curiosity with others.
I'm also incredibly handy, so if there's some small carpentry-related household task that you lack the skill to complete, I can probably do it for you!
