About Me

Hello, my name is Ryoto.
Thank you for seeing my profile :)
And please don’t forget to see my references!
Currently, I have been traveling every month as a digital nomad worker, and now I am staying in Azumino City in Nagano prefecture.

I'm 28 years old, right now.
I have learned English and French!
Especially, I would like to talk in French.
Donc, j’aimerais bien rencontrer quelqu’uns francophones !
Envoyez-moi un message en français si vous parlez bien le français s’il vous plaît !

I’m originally from a suburb of Tokyo. I lived there for over 20 years. And I graduated from a university in Tokyo and I worked for a tour company as a tour guide close to Takayama for a year.

After working as a tour guide, I learned programming by myself and got a job as a software engineer. Now, I am working for a Japanese online travel agency as an engineer.

However, my dream is to become an independent interpreter guide all over Japan in the near future. I love nature and local places where the human connection is very tight. I am so passionate to connect foreigners with local people and nature. It is so exciting for me to find a chemistry between them. In order to achieve my goal, I have been traveling to many regions in Japan to get to know the local people who live there. So, currently, I am looking for someone who wants to discover off-the-beaten tracks and wants to meet local people to get to know the authentic and deep life and culture in Japan.

Looking for meeting you !! Thank you for reading my introduction :)

Plus, please look at my social media account. Especially, My Instagram and TikTok would give you some inspiration for traveling in Japan like a local!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because when I used Couchsurfing for the first time overseas, I got a lot of awesome unforgettable experiences thanks to the local people I met during my trip. I realized that the true meaning of traveling is to be connected with locals and get to know new things and share our experiences with each other. Since then, going to touristy places and taking pictures is not "Traveling" for me. It is just "Sightseeing".
So, I am so eager to have such a great travel experience in foreign countries as a traveler and in my home country Japan as a host and a guide.
I have hosted many Couchsurfers when I was living in the countryside in Japan alone. Most Couchsurfers I met there were so nice guys that I loved them. I really want to meet such guys in this "After Covid World".
So, send me a message if you agree with my thought!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have participated in the Countdown event in New York 2016-2017 in front of Times Square. I waited for 12 h to celebrate the new year. It was a nice experience in my life, but I don't want to do it again haha.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm glad to teach Japanese or Japanese culture because I learned how to teach Japanese as a second language at my university and taught it to many people through the internet also I worked as a Japanese teacher intern in Senegal, Africa for 2 months.

I'm learning English and French. I can speak both but it is yet difficult to improve to a complete level. It is so nice if you help me to improve these languages :)

I would like to share our culture and the experiences we have done.
