ABOUT ME

I have been living on my own for the last four years, which has meant mainly two jobs, no social life, and an absent minded attempt at night school. Getting nowhere fast, and a bunch of dramatic life events, made me realize that the cliches just might have a point. This is the one life I get, so I had better start living. Do the things that make me happy. Maybe FIND the things that make me happy first. A big smile and a halfway decent latte are not all I have to offer the world...

PHILOSOPHY

Love people for who they are, not who you want them to be. Love yourself the same way, as hard as it may be. Always try to do your best. When you fail, pick yourself up and try again. And again, if that is what it takes. Don't beat yourself up for the little things. Remember that everyone is here with the same problems, the same insecurities, the same dreams. Be happy, and be sad when you need to be. Don't try to control everything. You can't.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I love the sense of community that Couchsurfing allows to be spread worldwide. It gives us the chance to meet like minded people, all with a passion for travelling and new experiences. I think that it is a wonderful idea to offer hospitality to strangers coming into your city, and be able to show them your favorite quirky parts of it. I can't wait until I have my own place and can invite people into my own home.

兴趣

What don't I do? Long boarding, singing, guitar playing, writing, reading, baking. Sometimes I even clean for fun! I like to be busy, and to accomplish things in a day. Sometimes I like to sit still and wonder about the world. I'm young and I am still discovering my self and all of these things are helping me get there. I hope.

Life is about experiences, and the more of those you can manage, the better person I think you become. It creates compassion and empathy and understanding in others- both good and bad experiences allow us to grow and become the people we're supposed to be.

I'd like to think I'm a fun and easy going person with a good head on my shoulders. I can talk your ear off, tell stories and sparkle with entertainment for you. Or I can sit back and listen to your own stories, drink your craft beer and laugh at all the appropriate moments ;).
