Overview
About Me
I'm an educated professional who is trying to maintain my sanity by finding work/life balance. First generation born in the US so I have a greater understanding of cross-cultural people like myself. I love physical activities like acroyoga, partner acrobatics, aerial silks, and hiking. Able to mix high and low culture. Hoping to have more positive memorable experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My hobby has been taking me to some new places and in order to make traveling more frequently feasible, thought I'd give this a try, especially in areas that don't really have many other accomodations available. It would also be really nice to have advice from friendly locals.

Music, Movies, and Books
So many different genres, but l have really been into Spanish-language dance music for the past decade. Love listening to Shakira, Prince Royce, & Maluma while driving. I used to go to local weeklies for drum n' base and even made a trip to Ibiza when I was more into EDM. I still enjoy some, especially electroswing. I haven't been frequenting concerts as much, but I've seen: The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gogol Bordello, The Lumineers, Thievery Corporation, Massive Attack, Garbage, No Doubt, Aerosmith, The Beastie Boys, Beck, Dave Matthews Band, Phish, Santana, Bob Dylan, The Greatful Dead, The Who, Robin Thicke, R Kelly, Usher, Shakira, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Bon Jovi, Guns n' Roses, Metallica, Faith No More, The Lemonheads, Juliana Hatfield, Green Day, Bare Naked Ladies . . . and many more.
Anything in the Marvel and Star Wars franchise. Lots of independent films! Foreign films, but I have to be in the mood to read subtitles.
I haven't been reading as much lately, but Augsten Burroughs, David Sedaris are favorites. I enjoy memoirs of interesting political figures.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Held a beating human heart in my hands.
Coxed boats in the Head of the Charles for over a decade.
Made a handstand on a standing person's hands.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some basic acroyoga.
Proper erging technique.
Aspects of Persian culture.
Enjoy learning about other cultures and cuisine, please teach me about yours.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Happy to clean (dishes, vacuuming, laundry). Conversation on nearly any topic of your choosing (my brother jokes that I should have a show where people call in and mention a subject and I would be able to expound on it for quite some time). Some general medical advice. My various foodie adventures.
