I am an Indian expat, scientist -- physicist turned bioinformatician, and a hobby photographer. I am passionate about machine learning, parallel computing, physics and chemistry, history and politics, and all things data science. Previously, I did freelancing in Android app development, web development and graphic design. I co-founded a startup called Beejig and I consulted as a designer / developer at Zaxis Labs.

I often go biking or hiking. After all these, in the very little free time that is left, you will find me watching non-mainstream movies, tinkering with my fantasy football team, editing raw images taken with my Nikon D7100 or playing board games. I support MohunBagan FC.

I’m a friendly human, so if you ever want to talk to me don’t hesitate to say hello. I like meeting new people, making new friends and get to know different cultures. The answer to the most popular FAQ when I meet someone is, "yes, I can cook Indian cuisine".

Interesses

Computers and computing, but strangely I have never played a computer game. I like photography, soccer and fantasy leagues. I like movies - mostly non-mainstream Hollywood / Bollywood and foreign movies from all over the world. To the extent that I have even created subtitles for movies. Once upon a time, I used to freelance graphic design and app development. But later, I decided to move out of the couch and started hiking and biking. And, I love good food -- I want to try cuisines from different parts of the world.
