I am a Phd student in Computer Science at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. [For the geeks] My research area is broadly in the domain of Programming Languages and Software Engineering. I love to work on things which have extensive practical applications and help bridge the gap between humans and machine.

I am a simple, positive, self-motivated and a very friendly next door guy. I am not a typical tourist. Rather I relish adventures and believe in garnering myriad experiences everywhere I go. I am a good listener and a gentle speaker with a pinch of sarcasm. :)

I am relatively new on couch surfing and hoping to make new friends from all around the world! Got to know about couchsurfing from a friend and it really seems to be a great way to connect with various people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Pop songs, EDM and a little bit of classical music. Usually I am open to all kinds of music (even if in a different language) and love sharing playlists with others.

For movies, I usually go by the director. Hitchcock, Nolan, Fincher, Scorsese, Spielberg, Tarantino - I have watched most of their movies. Denis Villeneuve is my recent favourite. Absolutely loved his recent works: Arrival, Blade Runner 2049 and Sicario!

TV Series: Breaking Bad - all time favorite! Other favorites: GOT, Friends, Westworld, Silicon Valley, Black Mirror, The Mentalist... etc.
