About Me

Our home is LGBTQ+ friendly and anti-racist. We welcome people from states that violate an individual’s rights to make decisions about their own bodies. We are both experienced as a healthcare worker and caregiver, live close to clinics, and can accommodate for your specific needs. Please don’t hesitate to reach out because we are here for you and want to help.

I’ve spent over a decade working on and off tall ships. In September 2021 I was finally able to return to school and am now a Studio Art and English major at the University of Maine. I enjoy almost any outdoor activity or arts and crafts and am also really into cooking, reading, and writing. My partner and I have a small apple orchard and garden that is our own little piece of paradise.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think Couchsurfing is an amazing human experience. In 2014 I spent 6 months traveling from Nova Scotia, Canada to Quintana Roo, Mexico by every mode of transportation except plane and almost exclusively using Couchsurfing and all my experiences were overwhelmingly positive. With Couchsurfing you experience a cultural exchange that is hard to achieve from regular tourism. But the best part is the friendships created. Two of my hosts that I stayed with are now two of my closest friends today. I love being a part of this community and would now like to give back to other travelers in the same way my hosts gave to me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My experience as a volunteer pre-school and art teacher in a small indigenous village in the Andes of Ecuador.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to snorkel, bake bread, and take you to the zoo to learn more about animals and conservation - especially about lemurs and butterflies. I always love learning new recipes from other cultures and would appreciate help with Spanish and French. I'm always ready to share food, stories, and wine with everyone I meet.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food! I love cooking and would love to do it for you!
