About Me

I am a student, musician, full time menial job worker, and proponent of free thinking. I have an adventurous spirit and a calm, relaxed demeanor. I love knowledge and culture and am fascinated by the prospect of traveling to anywhere I have not been before! As a part time college student, I am looking at ways to travel relatively cheaply. I play bass and 6 string guitar and love to hike, bike, and spend time in nature.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling, Meeting people, and Playing music are some of my favorite things- I am on CS in hopes that it will help facilitate all three!!! I am naturally introverted, but I love people, and couch surfing has been a way to make meaningful connections thus far.

Interests

Depending on what mood I'm I like to see as much as I can by way of wandering, or having a plan. Though I also love to enjoy one part of a town or city. Anything that is different or out of my box is fascinating to me (I have rarely learned anything through being completely comfortable). I was studied Cultural Anthropology in community college, and I've come away with a love of comparing and contrasting the differences in culture of my own way of life, with that of other people. On a more basic level, I love good strong coffee. I love good quality food because I believe food unites us all on a basic level. I have an interest in geography and belief that by living in the US and meeting people from all over the world I don't have an excuse to not know where basic things are on a map. Last I can think of right now (certainly not least) is my interest in listening to people talk about what they're passionate about.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being in 3 great bands within the past few years, and being in the one I am currently in (Braceface). Enacting a positive change in my community by being part of the Baltimore,MD punk scene I have seen how a few people can set a cycle of positive change in motion. Coming out of school with an associates degree (and continuing on to a bachelors) with absolutely NO DEBT!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I share an open mind and a willingness to learn from everything and everyone around me. I believe in leading by example and that people teach others how to treat them through both words and actions. I have faith in humanity and I believe that there is no reason to look down on someone unless you are helping lift them up.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I believe that everybody has the potential to be a teacher- I am very patient and accepting of all lifestyles, as well as being a good listener. I love to hear people talk about their passions
