Heya! My name is Sam and I am an actor and musician from London, UK!

I'm currently travelling as a part of my performing work and I've previously lived in Italy and Japan, where I worked as an English Teacher.

I love travelling and learning about other countries' arts and culture, and I'm completely obsessed with food and cooking! I'm really into sports and outdoorsy activities, like hiking and rock climbing, but I'm also all about balancing it out with a couple of drinks and a night out!

I've always found that the best thing about living and travelling in different countries is meeting new people and being generous to one another. In the same sense that I love showing people around London and introducing them to my favourite bits, nothing's better than experiencing a new place in the hands of someone who actually lives there! I've often travelled alone in the past, and although it always takes me out of my comfort zone, trying new things and making friends is what makes it absolutely worth it!

I studied Music at university, so there basically isn't a type of music I don't like! I love the musical theatre of Stephen Sondheim and my favourite movie is called 'Withnail & I'. I'm currently reading 'Norwegian Wood' by Murakami.

Last time I lived in Japan, I got to climb Mt Fuji. It was arranged by a bunch of German friends of mine, who grew up hiking and mountaineering, so I was very lucky to just get dragged along for the ride. Watching the sunrise from the summit was one of the coolest moments of my life.

I am a qualified English teacher and have taught kids, students and professionals all over the world. I'm also a singing and piano teacher, having trained at some of the UK's top conservatoires.

As well as my experience as an English, singing and piano teacher, I absolutely love cooking and can whip up some pretty good vegan food on request! I'm really good with animals and kids, and owe an extremely high standard of cleanliness, punctuality and manners to my very polite, British upbringing. I'm always up for a couple of drinks and an adventure, but will also give you your space and leave you to it, if that's what you'd rather. Either way, I'm extremely flexible and grateful to anyone who should open their home up to me!
