About Me

Wine Business Student who enjoys, traveling, writing, and staying active in my free time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling has always been a major passion of mine, ever since I was a 11-year-old boy who traveled the county with my grandmother. Today, I am still wanderlust and desperate to explore different places, people and cultures.

I have found that traveling by yourself opens you up to more interesting people, experiences and opportunities that you would not have been allowed if traveling with a large group. Having said that though, I also believe in connecting with locals and gaining potential friendships to make visiting a new area a life lasting and memorable experience. I am hoping that with Couchsurfer I won’t just be given a place to stay but also a new person to connect with as a world travelerż

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a very Eclectic taste in music so I would say I am open to most. For me its more about how it makes you feel than a particular genre. I am a huge cinephile, so I absolutely love movies! I would say that Indie movies are typically my favorite, when it comes to style and story, however, I have been known to love action, drama, romance, comedy and horror. I'd say that the three most influential novels in my life have been "One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest", "The Grapes of Wrath" and "A People's History of the United States" which should say something about my personality. Also, Oscar Wilde, is probably my favorite writer of all times, but Hemingway comes second. Past that, I have read many classics as well as a variety of other novels that I have enjoyed

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Something amazing that I've done was traveling to Costa Rica on an ECO-Trip at 14 years old where I helped protect an endangered species. Here, The Leatherback Sea Turtle, which is the largest of all living turtles, comes on land to hatch along the sandy shores and is vulnerable to poachers and other predators. I was responsible for helping monitor the laying of eggs by these massive turtles as well as protecting the hatchlings from other invasive predators. It was an experience that truly shaped my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a vary deep knowledge of wine and tasting skills to along with it that I more than love to share with other people. Furthermore, I love to cook and would be glad to share a meal or recipe from my own knowledge at anytime. I really would love to learn more about other peoples languages, cultures, and own traveling experiences, since I am still young myself and wanting to know the best of what the world has to offer.
