I've spent the early years of my adult life traveling far and wide, trying to see the most unique parts of this world. It has taught me almost everything I know and made me who I am today. I love trying new things that challenge my idea of the world. Exploration is a true passion of mine and something I plan to do for the rest of my life.

I'm very open minded and like deep philosophical discussions. I want to learn as much as I can about life and the human experience. I consider myself a citizen of the world and everyone should be treated as good as you want to be treated!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While I travel for nature and unique experiences, it's always the human interactions that have the deepest impact. Not only do you get to hear a new perspective and learn about other people with different backgrounds, it also gives you a far better understanding of the place you're in. I love to learn about different lifestyles and really experience the day to day life's of the people I meet.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste spans a wide range, from techno sub genres to heavy metal, classic rock to opera. I love instrumental music or foreign music as I can interpret it the way I feel!

I'm a part time cinephile and would take an old school classic over a new superhero movies anyday. My favourite film of all time is "Lawrence of Arabia", and I can't imagine anything topping it for a while. My 2nd and 3rd favourites are "Requiem for a Dream" and "American Beauty".

I don't read as much as I'd like but I've read some Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, all the harry potter series, some of Orwells classics, and a few other books, many focusing on the true story behind some of my favorite films. I especially like a historical epic that takes a while to get through.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiked the Pamir Highway from Osh to Dushanbe.

Visited the “Gates of Hell” in Turkmenistan, then crossed the Caspian Sea.

Walked over 4000km across the USA during a pandemic.

Hitchhiked sailing boats across the north Atlantic, dodging icebergs overnight into Greenland hoping not to act out the Titanic story.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a lot of experience travelling independently from a young age, as well as budget travel and planning and organising travel, as well as finding the best places to visit that a country has to offer. I also have good general knowledge, not only about the world, maps and countries, but other subjects too. I am also into photography and would be happy to teach you or learn new things about my own camera.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can hold a decent conversation with anyone and am a good listener. I am happy to teach you travel tips or talk about places we have both been to. I can also teach you about the UK and London, as I've been to a large amount of my home country, and have also explored London very well. I can also help you learn photography, whether that be sharing tips or showing you the basics, and I'm happy to learn as well!
