Overview
About Me
Hi! I'm an engineer and artist who loves adventures, learning pretty much anything, all types of sports/physical activities, and animals great and small. I'm a voracious reader, have been to a few places (I just finished up living for two years in France and a Fulbright Fellowship) and otherwise attempt to be a jack-of-all-trades (as I'm unfortunately curious about virtually everything). I'd love to meet you!
Interests
Some of my more random interests, in no particular order, include:
*Collector of random facts (especially biological)
*Spare time watcher/listener of TED Talks and comedians
*Attempting to teach myself how to start/run a business and code
*Petting random strangers' dogs (with permission... well, usually)
*Adding more hobbies that I probably don't have time for
*Trying new random foods/beverages
*Being a nerd
*All things adventure (or that I can attempt to make into an adventure)
*Virtually anything that gets me moving (those sports listed I've done for at least 5 years)
*Art (from drawing and painting to cross-stitch, carving, jewelry-making, design...)
*Speaking to people about their religion/culture/background
*Sarcasm

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm an avid and voracious reader (especially science fiction/fantasy-I enjoy the escape. However, I also enjoy that whole learn/gain culture via books pastime too! I tend to alternate: one fiction with one nonfiction... though am usually reading more than one at once. I have a bit of an addition) with varied tastes in music, and movies.
Teach, Learn, Share
Did you know that when you're born, as most of us have been, you have virtually no bones?
True bone, as we recognize in most peeps over the age of 4-5, only forms after stressing your body a sufficient amount as a child. Your body strengthens your bones by adding minerals to them in a defensive reaction as you stress them as a child, gradually forming what will be your 'adult bones'. You usually only see fully hardened/developed bones in one's twenties, though your bones will continue to change throughout your life.
I did some stuff with them; bones are cool!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Manual labor, recipes/cooking learned throughout my travels, art, mechanical (via myself) or computer help (via computer engineering husband), yoga, horseback riding (though I'd need a horsey), or language lessons, interesting and witty conversation... I'd be happy to help out, share, or teach whatever I can.
