Overview
About Me
I’m an engineer working in North Dakota, USA at the moment but I’ll probably move back to Colorado or Texas or California within a year or two. But my schedule is 2weeks on and 1 week off so I’m currently trying to fill up those weeks off with as many adventures as I can.
Growing up my parents were in the military and we moved around a bit so I was pretty introverted and preferred school to people because that was constant. But I have always loved to travel and hike and in college I realized it’s much more fun to be able to share those experiences and learn from other people. Every where I’ve gone I’ve met incredible people with diverse and amazing backgrounds and I love listening to their stories.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’ve fallen in love with traveling. I thoroughly enjoy meeting new people and seeing their customs and how other people live. I passionately believe that traveling makes the world a smaller and more friendly place. It opens up your mind and your heart to new people and new possibilities. Every trip I’ve been on has changed me in some way and has allowed me to grow as a person. That individual growth is addicting.
Also, I have such an intense desire to see everything with my own eyes. To experience it all first hand. I have a bucket list of everything I want to do and see and I don’t want to wait until I’m about to kick the bucket to go do it all.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love listening to new music on repeat until I can’t stand it any more. I also love any music that I can dance to, although I don’t dance very well.
I really like all the Marvel movies and my favorite tv show would have to be Futurama.
My favorite author is Terry Pratchett, I love the Discworld series.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The last trip I went on I went with my best friend and we went across Tirol and Bavaria exploring castles and ruins, and making a point to hike to as many lakes as possible. We got to Alpsee and decided it was a good time to learn how to row a boat; by the end of our 30 minutes, we looked like the Stanford rowing team. I’m still impressed by us.
Also on a whim I went to Jamaica and decided to jump off a bridge in St. Ann’s Parish, it was terrifying because you had no idea how deep the water was you just had to hope you’d let go of the rope in the right area.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you all the English words I know, which happens to be a lot because it’s the only language I’m fluent in. I can teach the tiny bit of German and Spanish I know as well.
I’d love to learn more German and any other language. As well as all about the area I’m visiting - what’s going on with it economically, socially, politically, historically.
I’d like to share past experiences and create new ones. I can tell you all about the places I’ve been, where to go, where to stay, what to do if you’re interested in any of them.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m a pretty great cook. Plus I do dishes.
I worked as a bartender for a wee bit so I can mix up some pretty good drinks as well.
So if you’re planning on throwing a dinner party, I could help with that. Or if you just wanted to learn to cook something new or how to mix up your favorite drink.
