About Me
I'm on couch surfing for the same reasons as everyone else. When traveling, I like to spend time really getting to know a place and its people before I move on.
I'm very interested in plants and agriculture so whenever I get a month or so of free time I like to spend it working on farms in places I haven't been to before. One of the things I'm most interested in when I travel is how the plant life changes from place to place. Every time I go somewhere new I try to find somewhere I can spend time in nature.
When I'm at home I love to spend my weekends working in my garden and going to concerts. Currently I work as a chemical engineer, which is so interesting mathematically, and provides a great challenge when it comes to trying to change the industry for the better.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have found that staying with a local is definitely the best way to discover a city, and hosting a foreigner is the best way to show off your own city.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love almost all music I hear, experiencing a place through its local scene is the best way to do it. I should admit though, I'm a sucker for indie.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Helped out on farms throughout California and Spain, always traveling alone
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn anything I don't already know, especially how to speak a new language. I guess I'm pretty good at math if you'd like to learn that? Plants too, if your house plants are dying I'm your girl... usually.
