About Me
Hi folks,
Born and brought up in different parts of West bengal, educated in the most traditional way possible in a very competitive way, like most Asian parents, they wanted to make me a doctor like my father, my uncle, my brothers, and most of the other members of my family🤣.
At the age of 17, I finally decided to open once for all "that" drawer of life and follow my dream & take charge of my life: Travel!
I left my home at the age of 18, ended my relationship with my boyfriend, took a job paying me ₹8,000 per month and left to explore the world.
In 2020, I rearranged my dreams once again, left my job & started my own company. I am still figuring out new challenges & possibilities in my life each day.
Still happy to fight all struggles, because when you travel, you may be alone, but can never be lonely.
All these years, I have done many solo as well as group backpacking, I had the opportunity to learn new cultures, make a lot of friends and discover these fabulous flora & fauna of all different terrains and myself more deeply!!
Completely addictive to the feeling of freedom that only exploring can give me.
I represent myself as a simple, respectful and friendly person.
Don't hesitate to contact me.
Our life is the best trip ever, enjoy it as much as you can, life is not meant to be enjoyed in our 80's after retirement. I call myself proud to be a feminist. I love to travel and interact with different people. I tried to describe myself without bothering you too much.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet new people, and share experiences, ideas and dreams
Interests
If I may talk about my field of interest, it will always be- travelling. Maybe not like a tourist, rather like a traveller.
I would prefer to go unplanned, meet strangers & listen to their story, discover new emotions & different perspectives of life and then move on.
Make mistakes, take unnecessary decisions and learn from them.
Travel alone, meet with fellow travellers, learn about nature, the culture, the inhabitants, their traditions, their problems & their adaptations.
- traveling
- painting
- exploring new places
- explore local culture
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once, during COVID-19🦠😷 (second wave), I was sent to work for a govt. Sanitizer project, i.e. I had a permit to travel during covid.
Suddenly the next day, I had a thought of travelling unplanned and left for it.
The next thing I was up to is: travelling in a bus to North bengal, trying to plan for the destination.
Decided a destination (Discovered a river in the valley in between the hills, which is not at all a tourist destination, I doubt that anyone has ever heard about this place or even knows it exists, because I didn't find a single tourist or any homestay or a single food stall nearby for the whole day. I explored more than 10kms along the bank of the river,..... then got lost in the woods..... Then guided back to the valley by a local fisherman and then travelled back to siliguri.
I returned home after travelling 2 days.
Teach, Learn, Share
I maintain a journal of all my travel experiences that I learned from people, and is always happy to share them with my folks.
