About Me

Hey, there! I am making my way to whatever place catches my fancy. I roam around on my own time and don't mind getting stuck in random places because I like to try and see every aspect of a culture before I move on. {that's just a nice way of saying I travel way too slowly}

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really enjoy meeting new people wherever I go! I try and experience wherever I visit as much as I can, and the best way to do that is to spend time with the people. Everyone has a unique take on life, and I enjoy learning about others' cultures, languages, opinions.

Interests

I have a huge passion for traveling. Books are my first love! 💝
I am always up for learning new languages; I try to learn as much as I can of the dialect of wherever I am at the moment. As a result, I have some pretty random knowledge of some pretty random slang!
I also love making new friends. For me, when I am traveling, I would rather spend a day enjoying conversation and laughter with a group of new interesting friends

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: My favorite song of all time is Hallelujah, written by Leonard Cohen (but I love every single version). Louis Prima, Post-Modern Jukebox, Little Mix, Fairouz, anything classical, swing music, jazz, Andalusian, top 40...pretty much anything that isn't country music...

Movies: Jurassic Park, The Painted Veil, all the Disney movies (except Cars, ugh), older musicals like Oklahoma!, South Pacific, etc.; 'older' movies like The Great Race, anything with Doris Day, etc...; Korean dramas

Books: I read anything and everything, so it's hard to pick any favorites. The Hunchback of Notre Dame is definitely top of the list, though. And, Uprooted by Naomi Novak. Any retellings of traditional fairytales. As well as the Skulduggery Pleasant series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At 20, I left my entire life behind and set off to travel the world indefinitely with only my savings. No set plans, no safety net, nada. This might not seem so special, but to me it meant overcoming my anxiety and not letting it define my life.
