About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to be happy, enjoy new experiences, meet nice people
ABOUT ME
I have been living on this stunning rock in the middle of the South Pacific for over 2 years now, and I am doing marine stuff for the American Samoa government. I love mini-adventures, random moments and new experiences, which are aplenty on this little tropical rock.
I love nature and doing anything in the ocean, dancing to great music, and eating good food. I haven't done much couch surfing but have been in contact with ones that have visited the island and helped them where needed.
PHILOSOPHY
Be happy by creating your own happiness, don't think too much, embrace every experience and just enjoy the beauty of life...cheesy but true!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am new to this but I am looking to do some surfing and also I am happy to host anyone who wants to make the trip to the little rock in the middle of the South Pacific Ocean!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
couch surfed in Hawaii,
Interests
Anything adventure-based especially if it involves water...I am currently learning to paddle outrigger canoes, and I desperately want to improve my surfing skills. I also enjoy hiking to interesting places and snorkeling and diving at new sites.
I am learning to play the ukelele but I am unfortunately a rubbish singer so I am going to have to get good at playing really quick so that people recognise the songs I am trying to play!!

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite movie at the moment is "Bolt" especially the bits with the hamster! I also love Endless Summer, Dogtown and Z-boys and any movie with Gael Garcia Bernal (y tu mama tambien, motorcycle diaries etc), awesome films like Stardust, and most foreign films.
I am currently into reading mind-provoking spiritual books such as Snowboarding to Nirvana, and I have just started a book called 'Learning from Ladakh' which seems to be about how the world should learn more from the ancient cultures and how they used to live, in order to ensure we don't self-destruct in the near future.
I love most kind of music as long as it is good and has a decent beat and some interesting lyrics...at the moment I am listening to Passion Pit, Cut Copy, Sean Hayes, Empire of the Sun, Bat for Lashes, Fruit Bats. I also love dancing to good quality drum and bass and anything funky.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am grateful every day for the ability to SCUBA dive, to experience the magical underwater world as close to being a fish as possible...best underwater places I have experienced are Sipidan, Derawan, and the Menai Strait!
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't know if I would be qualified to teach anything apart from pass on my knowledge about fish and the marine world, I could maybe teach you how to bake amazingly tasty cakes, how to spin fire poi, a bit of Qi Gong, and I can give Reiki.
I am interested in learning how to be self-sufficient, how to build an eco-house and harness the power of nature through renewable energy power, how to live off the land and generally how to stop destroying the earth on which we rely on for life
