About Me
My name is Sam. I live in NJ, and I'm still figuring out this whole work-life balance concept. I like food, craft beer, new experiences, and exploring the great outdoors.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've explored cities with locals, shared long car rides with travelers, hung out with CS members from all over the world, surfed at the homes of gracious hosts, and hosted some great surfers. I'm always interested to meet new people and learn about their city and culture.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Too many to pick just one. Here are a few of my favorite memories while traveling:
• Spent a day hitchhiking from one small town to the next on Korčula, and knocking on doors to taste and buy homemade olive oil along the way.
• Convinced a family in Montenegro (who didn't speak English) to let us eat dinner with them. That night, one of the brothers invited us to a party in an abandoned fortress on top of a mountain (again, we were the only two who spoke English).
• Spent several days each hiking in the Redwoods and the Grand Canyon.
• Visited Montreal for the first time with no plans except driving directions to downtown Montreal...ended up at a great beer fest, met some great CS hosts, and overall had an awesome time.
