About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm just happy to be here, collecting experiences as I go. Still finding my big mission.

ABOUT ME

I ask a lot of questions. I'm curious about everything in general.. I often find myself in a wikipedia rabbit-hole researching random things - just enough to be master of none. I tend to over-analyze. I philosophize a lot, and I think I'm starting to have conclusions about life, which might be unhealthy. I can be opinionated about certain things, but I'm perfectly happy being on the fence on most things, especially controversial.
I love learning things from people that belong to places that are unlike what I've experienced, like any true CS-er should. I've done nothing crazy enough to share as the avid world traveller that I'm not. Street food and street photography are the essential parts of my travel experiences!

I worked in a small goat farm for a year in rural New England making artisan goat cheese, but the best part of the job was bottle-feeding 3 dozen baby goats!!

PHILOSOPHY

There are no answers, unless its math! And as far as the G-word is concerned, I think we don't yet have the capacity of such magnanimous perception, let alone wrapping myself in a warm and cozy belief system.

P.S. this entire bio is from years ago, and isn't up to date with my personal evolution :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't need couchsurfing.com to be a couchsurfer. I'm always curious to hear from people from all kinds of places..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The best CS experience I've had till date, was meeting my wife through CS. ;)
The other great experience I had was with the Dubai CS group. I was there for 3 weeks, hanging out with the group every now and then, and I've never met a bunch of more zesty travelers ever since. I had the most wonderful time for all the goodness of world culture, and I've made some friends for life!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music
Pink Floyd, Steven Wilson, Anathema, Opeth, Ghost, Mandolin Orange, Shakti

Movies
No movie has made me feel the way Interstellar has, although the brilliance of Hans Zimmer probably has much to do with it. I enjoy all Tarantino and Scorsese movies. I enjoy most movies directed by Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap. I dig new-age Malayalam movies! I like sci-fi and dark comedy too.

Books
Sandman series and anything by Neil Gaiman, Preacher series, Narcissus and Goldmund, and anything by Herman Hesse

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went on a road trip half-way across the US, saw the Grand Canyon in all it's glory, and met so many amazing people along the way.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm quite open minded, so I'm willing to learn anything and I'm eager to share all of the little that I have learnt.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My decent company, funny anecdotes and if possible a home cooked Indian meal.

Countries I’ve Visited

Denmark, Iceland, Malaysia, Norway, Sweden, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United States
