About Me

I have done many things in my life. I studied maths, traveled parts of Europe as a busker and taught music for many years. I studied IT a few years back. I lived in a construction caravan for a few years.
At the moment I am trying to reconquer my life after Covid and learn to play the harp.
I like to travel but have not done so for many years now due to family restrictions. Just starting to rediscover.
I like philosopical talk and to look at things from different points of view. I believe the best way to look at myself is by laughing. I don't take myself too serious and I like to take things with a good portion of humour.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was on a couchsurfing platform in the early 2000s but that went under and I didn't get involved again for some years now. I really enjoyed the experience.
I like to travel but travelling as a tourist never really interested me. Going some place to see the architecture and nature is nice but the places feel dead unless there is a story to them. Meeting the people, hear their stories and explore their ways is so much more interesting.
I like to talk about all kinds of things. Hear and tell the stories about our lives.
I can only have guests over the weekend (Friday to Sunday) because I travel a lot for job. Also please do not send requests for more than two weeks in advance since I cannot be sure if I will be there at the time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I danced in a world championship. ... no I did not win - not by far.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach IT stuff for a living.
I have taught bagpipes for a living for the most part of my life.
I like to play games. When I was young I played long and involved nerdy games. Nowadays I prefer games with simple rules (not the same as simple games).

I like to talk about all kinds of stuff.
