ABOUT ME

MY friends tell me I'm a vivacious, adventurous person with a compassionate heart. I would describe myself as definitely adventurous. I took my first trip out of the country by myself when I was 19 years old. I went to Mexico and discovered I love to travel and meet interesting people from different cultures. I love to be of service to animal and humankind. I've been a "professional student off and on most of my life, and love to learn new things.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy to be of service to the earth, and all of its inhabitants. I belief what a famous politician said in a 2008 speech " We are our Brothers Keeper" I would include Sister in that quote, originally coming from the Christian Bible.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been a member for several years and have hosted over 50 couch surfers from all over the world. I'm just getting back from a short trip to the Keys in Florida and I'm eager to get back into hosting after not having any guests since the pandemic started over a year ago. I have been a tour guide in the past in my area and love to show people around .

Interests

My interests are wide and varied. I enjoy music both performing( as a singer and blues harmonica player), and listening to music.I love animals and am involved in several volunteer organizations including animal humane and the local zoo. I have been involved with holistic healing and nutrition for over 40 years.Some other interests are, reading, cooking, hiking and dancing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love many different kinds of music especially show tunes, classic R & B, and blues. some of my favorite movies are, "Somewhere in Time", Avatar, and British comedies like Monty Python's Flying Circus.Some favorite books are Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings", The Hobbit, and "A Wrinkle in Time".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I will never forgot is going up to Mount Shasta in California for the Harmonic convergence and seeing an Angel on someone's television set.Another thing was walking along the Seine in Paris at sunrise, and seeing the Eiffel Tower in the distance.

Teach, Learn, Share

I just became certified in ESL, and would love to share that with anyone who would like to learn English. I also have studied Herbology and holistic healing and would enjoy sharing my knowledge in that area. Lastly, I've been a professional Chef and enjoy cooking Thai food, and healthy delicious meals.My current focus and passion used to sing and play My guitar and harmonica.
