About Me

Please read everything on my profile before sending a request and sorry if I can't host you but anyway I'm always down to meet up and hang around.

I WILL PROBABLY SAY NO TO YOUR REQUEST:

*If your request is not personalized
*If I feel you haven't read my profile
*If you have very little information about yourself on your profile

I was born and raised in Brazil and I also hold Italian citizenship since my father's family is originally from the Sicily region. I've always been curious and eager to know more about different people and habits, about the others, about the unknown. I had this feeling of getting out of my comfort zone to better understand my boundaries and true wishes, to develop myself and to become a better human being. However, I would say I had lived a very standard life, working my ass as hard as possible and focusing on having a successful professional career, not having neither time nor target on exploring around and doing it just whenever I had opportunities. But the need for discovering more of the world and its wonders, deeply, hit me hard. It wasn't an easy decision but after long consideration, I left my country, family, girlfriend and friends behind and started a journey that I wasn't sure how it would end. Almost 3 years later, more than 20 countries, a lot of volunteering (and that's the main reason why I haven't been so active here), 7 temporary homes (Italy, Estonia, Sweden, Ireland, Portugal, Norway and Colombia) and uncountable memories, experiences, stories and people along the way, I decided to settle in Lisbon and started my own company, from scratch.
It makes me super proud and motivates me to keep going, but it also takes a lot of courage, persistence, effort, time, money and energy and it's nothing but hard. Atm I'm living in Georgia 🇬🇪 for various reasons.

"It always seems impossible until it's done." Nelson Mandela

My motto is: Always try to see the bright side of everything. This will make your life happier and you feel good anyhow. And I'm a true believer in the law of attraction, meaning that you get exactly the energy, vibes and thoughts you are spreading out! So be positive! 😊

I'm passionate about meeting new people and acquiring new knowledge. For me, CS is a fantastic way to get real connections and unexpected encounters.

I really hate wastes of any nature (water, food, energy, time, etc.) 🌟

A bit of a clean freak, don´t mean to scare you off by saying this! - No shoes in the house, please.- : )

And last but not least, I love sunsets, I walk really fast, I can't live without cinnamon and honey, I'm a wine enthusiast, I love pickles (especially crunchy cucumbers) and pistachio ice cream and when I eat wasabi I have it until my nose burns!!!

Everything happens for a reason and you can always learn something from all your experiences, especially the hard ones.

I believe that traveling is always about people you connect with and the place is a big plus! Grateful for the gift of life and happy to be able to embrace the CS community!

When I travel -
- if you receive a request from me it means I genuinely would love to meet you and your profile caught my eye after likely a long time of browsing and deliberation.
- I will usually book accommodation with free cancellation and then look for the nicest host on CS.
- I'd love it if you showed me who you really are and how you live. It seems that many people on CS (and everywhere else) feel that they need to pretend to be this super crazy, outgoing, out of this world person. Everybody has something to add. ; )

When I host -
- I look for people that I think I'll connect with and remain friends with long-term.
- I can see right through your copy/ paste request ;P I understand we're all busy but please at least use my name and let me know you've read my profile. I will spend time reading your request, pondering it, maybe hosting you, so the least you can do is read my profile, no?
- I don't mind if you are new to CS, but your request better be extra super-duper mega great! ;P

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I have been more settled after a long sabactical I decided to take advantage of having the travelers here and also being hosted by them, which would make me have this traveling vibe alive and keep connecting with like-minded CSfers from all over the world.

I think the possibility of meeting people from other countries/backgrounds and engaging with their culture and life is simply priceless. Getting to know places and people through their own eyes is the best way to see and learn things differently and to ask yourself some questions. All in all, I am here to learn something with fellow travelers or hosting!

I don't consider CS only as a way of not paying accommodation, but a way to know people in their own places, lives and routines and in a positive way be changed by them.

Interests

Travels, travels and travels, true experiences, beautiful souls, meeting locals and travelers, surfing or just the ocean itself, deep talks, sports, wines, beer, tattoos, sunsets, movies, joy and fun.

I'm addicted to music. I wake up, take a shower, go to the gym, walk down on the streets playing music, and it really boosts my mood up!

I always try to eat the healthiest as possible, avoiding everything that is not natural and processed. Before I was always just curious but recently I'm more and more interested and trying to practice as much as possible, meditation. And since my mom is a Yoga teacher in Brazil, this is in my blood.

I'm training 🥊🥊🥊for the 1st time and loving it!

And I'm trying to learn about criptos 🤞🤞🤞

I'm always trying to experiment and learn something new. This makes your brain and soul younger!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love almost every kind of music. It depends on my mood, my company and the environment I'm in.

Anyway, I am a big fan of Tarantino, Eastwood, Woody Allen, Guy Ritchie and Almodóvar movies. Normally all based in real life stuff is what makes my eyes shine. I'm always excited about interesting documentaries. "Forest Gump" is a masterpiece and "La Vita è bella" from Roberto Benigni is a must!

As for books, I'm not reading as much as I want to, but I'll try to get it better soon. I love the greek history and Homer's books. I also love reading Biographies and look for someone who can inspire you to be and act your best.

But I'd love to have some nice recommendations and thoughts too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've jumped off the world's highest bungee jump bridge, in South Africa;
I've dived with giant Tortugas in Fernando de Noronha, in Brazil, one of the most incredible islands on Earth and in the Caribbean sea, in Cozumel;
I've skydived sometimes and it feels so magical! It feels like being a bird : )
I won the prize for the best student in my Marketing degree;
I've dived with white sharks in Cape Town and Climbed The Table Mountain (Up and Down);
I was in 3rd place in a national writing competition when I was 13 yo and almost won a trip to frozen Antarctica, which was the theme for the essays;
I've lived in a house in the middle of nature, on an island in Sweden, with an outdoor shower, having daily baths looking at the beautiful Swedish sky;
I've hitchhiked in Lofoten Islands and I've seen the northern lights at the Lyngen Alps, in Norway.
I've surfed in the Baltic sea, in Poland;
I've been to the 1st Big Waves Tow In competition, in Nazaré, Portugal, with more than 20m waves.
I've seen a full moon during the day in the desert Sky in Morocco.

Teach, Learn, Share

*Brazilian food, drinks and culture. I can make a great caipirinha or a Brazilian crepioca (pancake style made out of tapioca).
* I can show you how to make the best homemade granola and my unbeatable oatmeal.
*A lot of stories from my journeys, friends and experiences around 58 countries around the world
*A good company for whatever you're interested in.. music, sports, arts, movies, drinks, photography and also doing nothing, staying home, chilling and having a nice time, drinking a glass of wine or watching a movie.

I can go for a run with you (I'd love to do that actually, especially close to the water- lake, river or the ocean-) and I would love to prepare a meal together - you can really get to know someone's culture by what they eat and the ingredients they use.

I am on the process of becoming a vegetarian ( pescetarian actually), so if you could help me with that, it would be awesome. Sharing some hints or recipes with me would be highly appreciated! I love sharing food and cooking together! It´s an endless process of learning and it´s one of the best ways to connect with people!

I love surfing (getting the flow back) and we can go together for a session.

I'm always keen and motivated to help in any volunteering initiatives, so we can join some together!

We can also attend a Meetup event together or also meet with your/my friends.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My smile, kindness and a friendly ever-positive attitude. I can help you in the home and equally, I can entertain myself and respect your space. I can teach you how to swear in Portuguese. I can offer you a company, a hand to cook or a meal or give you a film recommendation. I'm tidy and quiet usually but I love to hang out too. Most importantly, I understand what CS is about and don't use it in lieu of just getting a hotel room :)
